The story behind this sweatshirt is simple. First, we painstakingly developed our custom Cloud 9 Fleece to be absurdly soft and lofty. Then we made this sweatshirt, and garment-dyed it for a perfect lived-in color. Then we wrote this description. The end. Meet Cloud 9 Fleece: our custom-developed, ultra premium, wildly soft fleece. If that wasn't enough adjectives for you, we'll just point out it's lightweight, knit taut so it's not bulky, and perfect for home days, travel days, and everything in between.

Marine Layer started with a goal to make the softest shirt, one that would feel like an old favorite rather than a new one that needs to be broken in. In the 10 years since Marine Layer began, they’ve custom developed over 100 fabrics, with soft fabrics being their thing. They’re focused on finding new ways to make clothing responsibly and sustainably. They do this by using recycled materials in their clothing, working closely with manufacturing partners to ensure vendor code of ethics, and donating to nonprofit partners.
